Citric acid is also useful for preserving canned vegetables and fruits.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Citric acid is a food acid found in many natural foods. You can use it to reduce spoilage during sprouting by adding 1 teaspoon to 1/4 cup of water.

Citric acid is also useful for preserving, drying, or freezing foods. It can be used to preserve vitamin C content, delay spoilage, and prevent discoloration. Use 1 teaspoon in 1/4 cup of water or juice.
