DESCRIPTION
The word "probiotic" comes from Greek. "Pro" means "for" and "biotikos" means "life". According to the World Health Organization (WHO), "probiotics are live microorganisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit".
We are learning more and more about the human body, and the role of the gut microbiota and of probiotics in the diet as factors promoting good health is increasingly recognized. The human digestive tract is home to as many as 100,000 billion microorganisms of different species. Most of them have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the human body.
Probiotics are mainly known for their positive effect on the digestive system: they act on digestion, nutrient absorption, and regulation of intestinal peristalsis, and enable the production of bioactive postbiotics as well as essential vitamins of groups B and K. A well-chosen supplementation and appropriate probiotic prophylaxis can prevent many negative effects related to food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and digestive disorders. The presence of appropriate strains of probiotic bacteria in the body does not only act on the digestive system: it also strengthens the immune system, can mitigate the effects of inflammatory conditions, and promotes regeneration processes.

RECOMMENDED CONSUMPTION
Adults: 10 to 15 ml (2 to 3 teaspoons) 3 times a day, diluted in about 100 ml of water or in any other drink of your choice.
Children over 3 years of age: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3 times a day, diluted in about 50 ml of water or another drink.
