Properties:
The Cretan purity (Cistus creticus) is found from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea. This shrub, which is part of the Cistaceae family, has been used in folk medicine to fight infections and colds. Nowadays, it is beneficial in states of weakness and supports the body. The ingredients contained in the purgative cleanse the body of toxins and oxygen free radicals. They also have a mild antibacterial effect.

Ingredients:
Flavonoids, resins, phenolic acids, essential oil - contains: manyol oxide (manjol), alpha-cadinene, delta-cadinene, bulnezole, viridiflorol, ledol, alpha-copaene, beta-selinene, cubenene and 13-epi-manyol oxide.
Country of origin: Greece - Crete

Method of consumption:
The dosage depends on several factors: age, health condition, or work.
In general, a heaping teaspoon in a cup of boiling water and let steep for about 8 to 10 minutes.
The cistus must be used for at least 4 weeks, sporadic use does not bring measurable benefits. The infusion can also be used for gargling and skin washing.
