Chestnut flour 500g - VIVIO
Chestnut flour is a flour obtained by grinding chestnuts. In terms of taste and nutritional values, it far surpasses traditional wheat flour. It is an excellent base for preparing sweet and dry dishes. It has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor and a delicate aroma. The dough prepared from chestnut flour is characterized by high plasticity. Its texture is similar to the well-known wheat flour.
Chestnut flour provides our body with many valuable vitamins (vitamins A, C, E, B) and minerals such as copper, potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium. It is characterized by a much higher polyphenol content than traditional flour made from cereals, such as wheat. As a result, this product has a strong antioxidant effect. The protein content of chestnut flour is not very high (about 6%), but it is very valuable. Chestnut flour mainly provides us with carbohydrates.
Chestnuts are generally associated with a luxurious, roasted delicacy, most often found on the streets of Paris in autumn. Their health-promoting properties and rich flavor have been appreciated around the world for centuries. St. Hildegard recommended eating chestnut products, especially for liver diseases.
