NATURE'S ANSWER Oil of Oregano - Oregano Oil (30 ml)

DESCRIPTION:

Oregano leaf oil is derived from oregano, also known as Origanum Vulgare, an herb from the mint family. The word oregano is derived from the Greek words 'Oros' meaning to climb and 'Ganos' meaning joy. The name therefore means 'mountain of joy'.

The health benefits of this amazing plant were already appreciated in ancient Greece. According to Greek mythology, oregano was created by the goddess Aphrodite as a symbol of happiness. It is also believed that Hippocrates frequently used it for its health-beneficial properties.

After the Roman conquest of Greece, they inherited the use of oregano and were responsible for spreading oregano throughout Europe and beyond. Over time, oregano spread to the Middle East and China. In China, oregano was used exclusively for health purposes. Oregano became more popular in the United States after World War II.
