Vitamin C MSE matrix - prolonged release is important!

The MSE matrix vitamin C stands out from other preparations generally available on the market in several ways. First of all, it is a long and regular release preparation of a fixed part of the active substance, namely L-ascorbic acid.

This prolonged release was made possible by placing vitamin C crystals on a matrix - a specific cellulose scaffold. This innovative tablet structure was named MATRIX by its creator, Dr. F. Enzmann.

The matrix structure ensures that the body receives an optimal portion of vitamin C at regular intervals, up to 8 hours after taking the tablet, so that the body "processes" the vitamin C as if it were naturally taken from food.

A single high dose of vitamin C is quickly absorbed in the intestines, then eliminated from the body just one hour after intake. This is due to what is called the "renal threshold," which is the limit concentration of a substance in the blood beyond which it can no longer be absorbed. For vitamin C, this threshold is about 100 mg. Beyond this single dose, premature excretion occurs.
